PA Food is committed to fostering a positive work environment that upholds equality and mutual respect. The company strictly prohibits the use of child or forced labor and will not tolerate the exploitation of children in any of its operations or facilities worldwide.
Definition
Child labor, according to the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Convention, is defined as work done by children under 12 years old, work by children under 15 that hinders their ability to attend school, and work by children under 18 that endangers their physical or mental health.
In the conduct of its business, PA Food:
Will not employ children who fall under the ILO Convention’s definition of child labor, regardless of any national laws or local regulations;
Will adhere to all relevant child labor laws, including those governing wages, working hours, overtime, and working conditions;
Firmly opposes any form of child exploitation and does not employ individuals below the legal age for completing compulsory education, as defined by the appropriate authorities;
Expects all business partners and associates to uphold similar standards and comply with the laws governing the countries in which they operate. If violations of these principles are discovered and not rectified, PA Food will take decisive action, which may include terminating the business relationship;
Local management and the Human Resources Department are responsible for enforcing and ensuring compliance with this policy across all PA Food operations and facilities.
