Mantou
Mantou
Mantou’s origins stretch back to ancient northern China, wherein those days it was considered a luxury product. Today, it is a common street snack and yet another example of Chinese influence on Malaysian food culture. Mantou is a fluffy dough bun characterised by its spiral formation. Its delicious fluffy taste has been craved by many for hundreds of years. Like its other oriental bun counterparts, Mantou taste and texture can be described as light and soft with a natural sweetness. However, they can also be deep-fried as well as steamed for a crispy exterior.
As well as modern Malaysian fusion, P.A. Food also respects and honours the traditional flavours, and this can be clearly demonstrated with our frozen plain mantou. While our frozen pandan mantou is a great example of a traditional taste with a unique Malaysian twist.
